The only build whose text actually adapts. It is real HTML text with no background
declared anywhere, so dark-mode clients recolour it themselves: crisp navy on a white body, light ink
on a dark one. The email, website and Book links are real <a> hyperlinks, so they are
clickable the normal way. Only the headshot and the logo stay images, and both already read on either
background on their own.
Where it is less certain: the recolouring is the client's algorithm, not ours. Outlook (desktop, web, new) and Apple Mail handle it well. Gmail's mobile dark mode inverts unevenly, so it may land mid-grey rather than white. And the layout is HTML, so spacing shifts a little between clients instead of being pixel-identical like the image builds.

Fully transparent, ink pitched at the luminance where contrast against white and against #1c1c1c is equal. About 4.1:1 either way, which is the physical ceiling for one ink serving both. No block in any thread. The cost is that the text is softer than crisp navy on white.
C. White cardMAX LEGIBILITY

Crisp navy ink on a white rounded card baked into the pixels. Invisible on a white body, and in dark mode it becomes a clean light card rather than vanishing. Best readability of the four. The trade is a visible card in dark threads.
D. Navy brand cardON BRAND

White ink on a Resolved navy card. Always a block, but it reads as a designed element in both modes instead of a stray rectangle. Highest contrast of the transparent-corner options.
E. Black (the original)LEGACY

Still works everywhere. Superseded because the black block is heavy in a light thread.

Kept only to show the failure. In dark mode the body text drops to 1.5:1 and disappears, leaving just the blue links visible. This is the build that went blue.
Add to Outlook
New Outlook / Outlook on the web- Settings (gear) →
Mail → Compose and reply → Email signature. - Open the copy page for the build you want, press Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C.
- Click into the signature box and press Ctrl+V.
- Set as default for New messages + Replies/forwards → Save.
File → Options → Mail → Signatures→ New, name it "Resolved".- From the copy page: Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, click into the edit area, Ctrl+V.
- Set defaults → OK. Send yourself a test and click the email / website / Book areas.
Switching builds always needs a re-paste. The signature already in Outlook carries its own table markup, so pointing it at new tiles is not enough.
To check dark mode yourself: send a test to your own address and toggle Outlook's dark mode, or use the moon icon in the reading pane.
